Blue-ribbon floral and decor for The Blue Ribbon

“You positively did the most incredible work today. Loved to see everyone gasp— and ask for your info!!” This is the lovely note we received from a Blue Ribbon board member a couple hours after the group’s board meeting concluded.

Founded in 1968 by Dorothy Buffum Chandler, The Blue Ribbon is The Music Center’s premier women’s support organization as well as one of its largest donors. The story goes: shortly after the completion of The Music Center itself, Mrs. Chandler realized that if the performing arts were to remain an active part of Los Angeles, she would need to create a dedicated group of individuals whose job it would be to help maintain The Music Center’s financial obligations.

We welcomed the opportunity to provide floral and décor design for this prestigious group’s annual board meeting held at Beverly Hill’s Nerano restaurant.

The board desired vibrant and au natural arrangements that paid tribute to the Fall harvest season.

Various strains of Roses, Stock, Hydrangea, and Hypericum were supported by greens comprised of eucalyptus, lemon, and magnolia, all accented by ghost and buckskin pumpkins finished with wheat stalks.

We were truly delighted to have contributed to this wonderful event for an organization that does so much for the musical culture of Los Angeles.
